Thanks to your kind and generous support, we not only met our target but exceeded it significantly. Despite facing challenges posed by COVID-19, fire damage, and drought, we reached an astounding <strong>800 people in just one year<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a breakdown of our impactful work since 2020:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Long-Term Program<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>104 elders and vulnerable children<\/strong> were administered through our partnership with the <strong>Abune Zena Markos Association<\/strong> in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>COVID-19 Relief Initiative&nbsp;<\/strong>(2020):\n<ul>\n<li>The global pandemic hit hard, affecting a homeless shelter in <strong>Harar<\/strong> where <strong>90 children<\/strong> resided. Community support dwindled, and fear of contracting the virus gripped everyone.<\/li>\n<li>HTFF stepped in:\n<ul>\n<li>We <strong>donated $2,500.00 (90,954.50 ETB) for September<\/strong> and <strong>$2,400.00 (90,848.64 ETB) for December<\/strong> expenses.<\/li>\n<li>This covered two months\u2019 worth of essential supplies\u2014food, sanitation, and medical necessities\u2014for the children.<\/li>\n<li>Additionally, we purchased a <strong>delivery vehicle for $5,000.00 (Bajaj)<\/strong> to help the shelter become self-sustaining, contributing to 1\/3 of its income.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Waldeba Monastery Support<\/strong> (2021):\n<ul>\n<li>Amid internal turmoil, approximately <strong>250 elders<\/strong> at the <strong>Waldeba monastery<\/strong> faced starvation.<\/li>\n<li>HTFF stepped up:\n<ul>\n<li>We provided them with <strong>six months\u2019 worth of food<\/strong>, ensuring their well-being.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Asebot Monastery Assistance<\/strong> (2021):\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Asebot monastery<\/strong> had been devastated by fire.<\/li>\n<li>HTFF extended its support:\n<ul>\n<li>We supplied them with <strong>three months\u2019 worth of food<\/strong>, aiding their recovery.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Debre Birhan Camp Assistance<\/strong> (2022):\n<ul>\n<li>Purchased 150 mattresses and blankets for war displaced elderly and mothers that gave birth recently.<\/li>\n<li>Provided breakfast to over 100 displaced children for two weeks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Building of Shelter for Orphans and Elders <\/strong>(2022-2023):\n<ul>\n<li>HTFF partnered with the <strong>Niku Yeneseha Merkeb Association<\/strong> to build a shelter at <strong>Shenkora Yohannes<\/strong>, capable of accommodating up to <strong>100 orphans and elderly individuals<\/strong>. Construction was completed in July 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Through these endeavors, we strive to <strong>restore dignity and improve the quality of life for Ethiopia\u2019s elderly population and vulnerable children<\/strong>.
