About Us

Help the Forgotten Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization established in 2020 in Virginia, US aiming to do its small part by providing financial support to aid our helpless elderly that have no means of support or survival in Ethiopia and their vulnerable dependents (children) in Ethiopia. 

The EIN is 85-0731418.

We are dedicated to preventing homelessness and malnutrition by all possible means. Through our efforts, we aim to provide essential aid, sustenance, and care to those who are vulnerable and often forgotten.

Our Causes

Elderly and Vulnerable Dependents

We provide monthly financial support for 104 elderly individuals and their children who have no income or external assistance. These elders reside in shelters and require financial aid for essentials such as food, medical support, clothing, and other basic necessities.

P2P Orphan Support

Under the People to People Aid Organization, Canada, Inc (P2P), we sponsor 10 orphans who lost their parents due to HIV/AIDS. Our critical support in Ethiopia includes provisions for food, shelter, and medical care. These essential services help these children not only survive but also succeed in their education.

Orphanage at Shenkora Yohannes

Our approach involves offering community-based family-style housing to our children. They live and play together in a home-like environment, guided by full-time, live-in caregivers who are trained, experienced, and educated. Additionally, we extend our care to the elderly within this setting.

Emergency Relief

We provide one-time financial support to areas impacted by various crises, including the COVID-19 pandemic, drought, fire incidents, war (displaced families), and natural disasters. Our aim is to alleviate immediate hardships and assist those affected during challenging times.
